Plantation Shutters Made to Measure
Shutters are a timeless way to dress your windows. They look smart, last for years and are easy to keep clean. With adjustable louvres you can balance daylight and privacy through the day, while improving insulation and reducing glare. Every set is made to measure for your openings — including bay windows and many shaped windows — so the finish is neat and draught-reducing. Visit our Royston showroom or book a free home visit to talk through styles, colours and materials.

Shutter Styles: Full Height, Tier-on-Tier, Café Style and More
The right style depends on how you use the room and how much privacy you need. We'll help you choose at your free home visit.
- Full Height — covers the whole window; a clear, classic choice for most rooms
- Tier-on-Tier — two independent sections, so you can open the top for light while keeping the bottom private
- Café Style — covers the lower half for street-level privacy, with open light above
- Solid Panels — a period look with strong room darkening
- Shaped and bay windows — made to measure for angles and curves, including many unusual openings
Light Control, Privacy and Everyday Living
Adjustable louvres let you fine-tune daylight and privacy without fully opening the shutters. There are no cords to worry about, which makes them a family-friendly choice alongside our other child-safe window dressings.
Shutters also suit street-facing living rooms and bay windows where you want a neat, lasting finish. In bathrooms and kitchens we recommend vinyl or faux wood, which resist moisture and wipe clean easily. Hardwood and colour-matched finishes are available for other rooms.
Measuring, Fitting and Our 10-Year Guarantee
Ordering starts with a free, no-obligation home visit — usually available within 2–3 working days in our coverage area. We measure every opening carefully, talk through styles and finishes, and give you a clear written quotation.
When you're ready, we supply and fit your shutters. Selected ranges can be ready in as little as two weeks; we'll confirm timings at your survey. All custom shutters are covered by our 10-year guarantee, and our team is here for aftercare support.
When Blinds or Curtains May Suit You Better
Shutters aren't the only answer. If you'd prefer fabric softness, easier layering or a lower upfront cost for a particular room, Made to Measure Curtains or Roman Blinds may be a better fit. Wood Venetian Blinds and Roller Blinds also give strong light control with a different look and feel.
We'll talk through the options honestly at your home visit so you can compare before you decide.
